From the Pastor

In the March issue of Mature Living, I read an account of George Smith who became a missionary to Africa, only to be expelled from the country after a short time. George thought his ministry was an absolute failure. He left behind a Bible and one convert, a woman. Later a missions organization did a study and determined that one hundred years after George Smith left Africa, thirteen thousand people had come to faith in Christ through his ministry.

We must walk by faith, simply obeying our Lord, and leave the visible results up to Him. Walking by sight will have one of three results: We may decide that obeying is futile because we see no results; we may become prideful in ourselves because we see what appears to be substantial results; or we may desire visible results so much that we use unbiblical means in the attempt to achieve our goals. Walk by faith and not by sight" (II Corinthians 5:7).
